Announcements:
Liberty township has enacted a local Earned Income Tax (EIT) effective April 1 2026. This effects
earned income only (not social security). If you reside and or work in Liberty township and have earned income you are
required to pay this tax. Pensylvania employers are required to collect this tax and send it to the collecting agency.
You need to file a form with your employer to let them know. If your employer does not collect the tax
(self employed etc) you must register with the collecting agency and pay it yourself. Similar to PA state tax you need
to file a return after year end. The local tax collecting agency for Liberty township is Berkheimer.

Liberty Township, Susquehanna County, regularly scheduled monthly meetings will be held beginning at 7PM
on the first Thursday of each month in the township garage during the renovation of the Grange.

that are available to help older people in our area. The Area Agency on Aging for
the Counties of Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Tioga, Inc. can serve as a resource for someone
you know - perhaps in your community, church, or family. Their services include connections
to help such as home delivered meals, personal care, emergency response systems, home
modifications, and answers to Medicare Open Enrollment questions. Please click
